There are a total of 40 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails, which are suitable for both the classic skiing style and also the sporty skating technique. The starting point is approx. 15 minutes away and you can enjoy guaranteed snow cover here until well into April.
If you are looking for variety as well as a challenge, you will not go wrong by trying out the Weltcup cross-country trail in Saalfelden and Hochfilzen. Hochfilzen is considered to be the home of biathlon and hosts the Biathlon World Championships at the beginning of December every year. The cross-country trails in Hochfilzen are located at approx. 1,000 metres and reliably have very good snow cover. The entrance to this trail is approx. 30 minutes by car from Maria Alm.
